DQ30 PROJECT
Some of you may remember our Facebook call
We were looking for 30 fans from 30 different countries that can communicate in English and know how to embroider.
We can say that we found our members and finished the project on time.
This was an exceptional process, we called it
DQ30
Here is the brief story of the project:
The project started in September 2023; we finalized it on March 15, 2024.
We agreed with the project members that we would not share any information about the project publicly (on social media, or in groups/chats, including our participation) and everyone kept their promise. We want to give him a real surprise.
Now that we have seen in Raushan’s Instagram Story that our gift has arrived (one day before his birthday in Astana, Qazaqstan), we present it to you.
We planned to give him something that we can make with our hands and with all the love of our hearts.
Our gift was nothing else than a
special bouquet of flowers that never wilt.
Thank you for watching the video!
First, we tried to find 30 members from 30 different countries. Then, we started to work together with 30+2 fans (not fan groups/clubs) from all around the world. (It was not easy to unite the work of 30 people, it would have been impossible with 30 clubs… so we worked with individual fans. But some of our members also represented their fan clubs.)
We tried to demonstrate we can fulfil what Dimash says on stage.
Even if we are different, we can unite, we can collaborate to each other.
Every member embroidered a flower what she has chosen herself.
Every member used white base material and the same hoop.
In this way, we were able to show the diversity and harmony simultaneously.
The first name of and country of the member are on the back side of the motifs.
The members didn’t know about each other during the project.
We communicated only via email in English; there were 2000+ emails in our mailbox at the end…
Our first and only online meeting was the celebration of the completed project (on 17th March, 2024).
The members didn’t see the other members’ motifs during the project.
They could only see the results of the project for the first time on this website on 28 May 2024!
We – as organizers – thank the HUGE TRUST that we had from the project members!
The way they followed our instructions, respected the deadlines, how much they encouraged us with their kind words – all these were amazing!
We collected all the motifs at one point of Earth. The motifs travelled a total of 100,000 kilometers.
We made a photo book with the pictures of the motifs.
Every member could write a birthday message for Dimash in the photo book as well.
We only used our first names in the photo book as well, because it was not important for us to be recognizable.
What was more important is what we did and why.
We wrote a joint birthday message in the photo book as well.
We also inserted a map in the book – a map of all countries we had project members from.
We ordered an exclusive gift box with the project logo. We put all our hand-made embroideries and the photo book into this special box.
Finally, we got help to hand over the package (with a little extra gift from the organizers’ side in it).
Was this project difficult and risky? Yes.
We had several problems…
There were a few members who disappeared in the process, so backup members helped and a new member was found as well.
We worried a lot until all the motives arrived in one place, and than again, until the whole package arrived in Astana.
Was it expensive? No.
The gift box was free and we also had a lot of help (free) with the transport to Astana.
Every member made huge efforts in this project, financed the cost of the embroidery and the first part of delivery.
Organizers undertook all the further expenses and managed the process (duty, photo-book, delivery).
If a member could afford, they could have contributed and help with money as well.
Members were not obliged to give money to organizers, but if they did, the cost per member was only ~12 EUR.
Finally, our members can reveal themselves if they wish, but only their own participation, not others.
We do not need any reply, feedback it is enough to know from Raushan’s Instagram story that the package arrived safely.
We are happy to have participated in this project and we just hope we can give Dimash few happy moments!
Update 2024/07/15
Maestro Nathan Wang is hereby considered an honorary member of our project.
Why?
Because his song “Join Hands” was performed the same week we launched this project.
It was a coincidence, but we took it as a “sign” of sorts, and it turned out to be a good omen, because (members ‘joined’ their hands from far away and) the project ended in success. And at the end of the project, some of the members were able to meet in Istanbul and see the Happy song performed by Maestro and Dimash together at Dimash’s birthday concert.
(You can imagine how happy the members were after the successful delivery to Astana, which happened one day before the concert…).
So, these two songs from the Maestro gave a beautiful frame to this project! ‘Join Hands’ & ‘Happy’.
Thank you Maestro for both songs and all the other ones!
JOIN HANDS
HAPPY
With much love,
for Dimash
Happy 30th birthday Dimash! Sending prayers and best wishes that we all continue to experience many more wonderful years for you and ALL of your fans to enjoy!! I have been a DEAR since I first heard you sing ‘SOS’ on the ‘I Am Singer’ show! LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!
It was an honor to be part of this beautiful project!
It gave me the opportunity to thanks Dimash for all the good things he’s brought to my life.
DIMASH, May your days be filled with joy and love.
I am thrilled that I could be a part of this amazing project.
I want to thank especially the organizers for the beautiful idea and the excellently executed work in all aspects. This project is unique and is essentially a reflection of Dimash Qudaibergen’s life philosophy. Yes, the strength of our future lies in cooperation, tolerance, and respect on a global level. Just as Dimash managed to unite the world through beautiful religious liturgies in his work “The Story of One Sky,” his Dears have tried to unite the world into one collective bouquet of embroidered flowers.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank everyone who contributed to the successful progress of the entire project.
It was an honour for me also to lend a hand to this beautiful work. Thank you!
Best wishes, dear Dimash, may your light never fade, may the garden of your art bloom forever, and may your thoughts, through your wonderful voice, reach the entire world.
It was a great pleasure to be involved in this project which has reunited Dears from all over the world. Thank you to the organizers that made it possible.
This bouquet of flowers will last forever. Happy birthday, Dimash !
What a pleasure to be part of this Birthday project. It was especially so when I got to meet some of you at both the Hong Kong, Budapest and Istanbul concerts. An eternal gift and celebration of the joy Dimash is and brings. It was a real challenge for me, yet I got it done despite never having done embroidery before. This is the influence of Dimash – he inspires us to try new things and ideas all the time 💝
I am gratefull that I could participate in this project. A big thank you to the leaders of the project and to everyone who made possible for the gift to be realized and delivered. Thanks to the project, I went to a concert and got to know new people and see Dimash live. Hope to see you and Dimash again. Big hug!
Thank you very much to all! Organizers, members and helping angels who cooperated with this beautiful project.
An honor to have been part of it!
Happy Birthday Dimash!
Greetings and hugs!
Congratulations to everyone who participated in DQ30project! It’s truly amazing! Finding the words to describe its inventive simplicity and beauty is challenging. This may have required a tremendous amount of work and organization. But you’re right, Dears! Dimash keeps teaching us that the strength of people lies in the power of love, respect and cooperation. Thank you for this project, 30 Dears from 30 countries!
In a symphony of visual and auditory brilliance, the legendary Dimash delivers a masterful performance every time, captivating audiences both large and small. He surprises with epic new music videos and songs that ignite the senses and captivate the souls. With his unparalleled talent in composition and artistic skills, Dimash has accomplished more than anyone in the world of performing art at his age of 30 as his work simply transcends boundaries and defies expectations! It was a true honor to participate in this project representing South Korea, my motherland. Thanks to the organizers and the 30 Dears who kept it going to the finish. I know Dimash will cherish this gift from us for a long time! Thank you all and well done!
I am so happy to be a part of this project. That’s why I was a trembling with every step so that the project would continue and be able to be carried out to the end.. Surely it happened to every single of them.
I couldn`t implement one condition. I do not speak English. Thanks to the google- translators, I was able to participate in the project without any problems.
Therefore, there was a lack of feeling of togetherness when the opportunity to speak to active participants arose.
A few times I saw a smile from participant in our small group in Budapest and Istanbul. Interesting because it wasn`t agreed upon and how many 1000 dears were there ? !
The result of the birthday idea is wonderful. Also this information film with so many beautiful details. If I go to the individual embroidery, I see the country it comes from. But I can also look at the floral motifs large.
Thanks to everyone Who contributed to this project. A huge THANK YOU to the project team, who have summarized everything so beautifully. THANKS
What a good idea this project!!! I have no words to describe the emotion of seeing all the embroidery together.
Seeing these flowers like this made me feel like I had met so many people from other places.
Congratulations on the idea and the great job it has been to coordinate everything with each of the embroiderers.
Honestly, I have no words to describe the feeling now, just knowing that I have collaborated a little with this spectacular gift to our Dear Dimash makes my heart jump with joy.
Once Congratulations and I thank everyone who collaborated with you until the delivery of the gift.
I hope Dimash feels the love we put into each stitch.
An affectionate hug.-
It has been fabulous to be part of this. I have made new friends from Budapest and Beijing, and now thanks to them I will be coming on the 4th May to Budapest to be with the dears at his concert. All this inspired by our love for this incredible artist and human, Dimash.
Dears:
I want to thank you for including me in this project.
You have no idea how happy you have made me. My heart doesn’t fit in my chest for so much joy.
I wish everything turns out as you thought, I can imagine how you feel now.
A big hug.
Wow! It must be an amazing project. This gift carries huge love from dears who are involved. Thank you all. Looking forward to seeing the finished product 😄❤️❤️✌️✌️
Happy 30th birthday Dimash. May happiness and Allah’s love and protection always be with you.
